Job Description

Birla Open Minds International School, Proddatur is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ICT Teacher to educate students in computer science, information technology, and digital literacy. The candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging ICT lessons, developing students’ technical skills, and fostering a safe and innovative learning environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong computer knowledge, effective teaching abilities, and a passion for technology-based education.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ICT lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Teach computer fundamentals, software applications, internet usage, and digital literacy.
• Introduce students to programming, coding, and emerging technologies as appropriate for their grade levels.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, practical exercises, and assessments.
• Manage and maintain classroom technology and computer lab resources.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
• Encourage responsible and safe use of technology.
• Support students in developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
• Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate technology into learning.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and information technology.
• Familiarity with programming concepts and coding languages.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• Preferred: B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Certifications in programming, networking, or educational technology are an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• 0–5 years of teaching experience in ICT, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in CBSE, ICSE, or international curriculum schools is preferred.
